Lesson plan 

    Is the final stage before a lesson is presented to a classroom students by the teacher.

A clear and successful lesson can be judge by the lesson note that is widely effective to use for a teaching, thought concise and sketchy the lesson plan should contain enough information for the teacher so as to remain on course during the lesson delivery


Written a Poor lesson Plan may lead to:-

          1. Given the students wrong information and omission of some vital point.

           2. Poor use of illustration aid's 

           3. Wrong timing, where a lesson may be prolonged or shortened unnecessary by the teacher and lack of class control.

           4. Learners written work will be marred with an errors, it will lead to be a much work to the teacher and discourage the learner as they sees red pen on their workbooks always.


Some importance of Lesson Plan

   Its important to noted since student oriented lessons are most preferable the teacher should not fails to adjust where the progress of the class demand such adjustment

          1. A well prepared lesson plan gives the teacher courage in other to stand confidently in front of the student.

          2. Good lesson plan save the teacher time as he teaches.

          3. The teacher may remember the important concept of the lesson with the help of good lesson plan and organized them in logical orders.

          4. It helps the teacher to determine what method of teaching is most important in teaching the student.

          5. A good lesson plan tells the what to do and how to do it in order to evaluate a success in it.

          6. Supervisor, Headmaster and Principal use the lesson plan in order to evaluate the teacher efforts in the classroom.


Some Teaching Consequences Facing Without a Lesson Plan

           1. It will lead to lack of lesson direction since planning are not made to the lesson.

           2. Teacher's always look for an excuses to be out of the class where lesson plan is not prepared.

           3. Evaluations of the lesson, objective and the teacher efficiency will be difficult.

           4. For a Student teacher this will certainly lead to a loss of marks as lesson note preparation is mandatory.


Some Hints on Preparing a Good Lesson Plan.

           1. Every day lesson plan should be prepared well in advance.

           2. Lesson plan should be read over and over again by the writer and possibly by another reader to detect errors.

           4. During the presentation avoid reading the note; instead points can be jotted on a piece of paper.

           5. For student teacher lesson notes should be sent on time to the supervisor as soon as he is ready for it.

   At the end of the instructional period pupils should be able to;

a. To describe typical components of computer

b. To draw a component of computer

Previous Knowledge:

   Pupil have learnt the concept of computer and the type of computer.

Method of Teaching:

   Discussion method, inquire method and demonstration method.

Pupils Activity:

   Pupils examine the component of computer placed before them.

Procedures / Presentation :

  Teacher present the lesson to pupils

Introduction:

  Teacher introduce the lessons to pupils by starting with their previous knowledge.


Step 1 

          Teacher introduces the lesson by reminding and asking the pupils question best on their previous knowledge e.g

•What is computer

•What are the types of computer

Step 2

        Teacher say's the topic and write it on the chalkboard.

Step 3

          Teacher shows the physical component of computer before each pupils.

Step 4

          Pupils examine the component of computer individually and ask questions.

Step 5

           Teacher placed unlabeled drawing of a typical component of computer to the pupils beside the chalkboard

Step 6

          Teacher show the pupils each part on the unlabeled drawing placed on the chalkboard, all it functions and use's.

Step 7

          Teacher summarize factual information, concept and principle as discussion continue.


Evaluation:

Teacher evaluate the lesson by asking the students such questions:

•What are component of computer

•Function of computer component

• How does the component work


Conclusion:

The teacher conclude the lesson by writing thee note on the chalkboard and later give the pupils permission to write on their notebook.
