The Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Program is a World Bank-sponsored intervention that seeks to mitigate the local effects of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic at the state-level, by protecting the livelihoods of existing and newly poor and vulnerable households and supporting the recovery of local economic activity, especially among MSMEs.

This initiative is to ease financial constraints and non-interruption of production process/service delivery by co-financing a portion of business loans taken by MSMEs as from 16th June 2020, from licensed financial institutions to qualified beneficiaries.
Requirements
• MSME operator between 18-45 years Minimum operation of 2 years Minimum of 3 employees.
• Functional BVN/ bank account
• Business Incorporation/ Registration (CAC or SMEDAN)
• KADIRS Tax Enrollment
• Business Premise Registration.
• Participation in Certified Business Training Membership in a registered Cooperative/Business Member Association.
