We have the latest update from Npower about the ongoing stipend payments. Stay tuned for the most recent news!

Npower’s Nasims management has officially shared on social media that they are still working on the unpaid stipends from 2022. This update comes at the same time as the appointment of a new Minister.

Dr. Betta Chimaobim Edu is the new Minister of the now renamed Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. She recently took office in Abuja, bringing new hope for 136 million underprivileged Nigerians.

Nasims confirmed that they are currently processing payments for Category 2 beneficiaries (C2). Beneficiaries can check their payment status on the Nasims portal, where the payroll tab has been restored.

If you are an Npower beneficiary with questions about unpaid stipends or payroll status, any delay in the “Pending” status might be because your account is still being validated, and payment is not processed yet.

Nasims has also restored most of the missing beneficiary information after the recent update. Beneficiaries can now access this information on the Nasims self-service portal.

Investigation of Former Minister Announced The current Minister, Dr. Betta Edu, announced that the government plans to investigate the former Minister, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, due to mismanagement of funds meant for NPower beneficiaries, unemployed youths, and poor citizens.

Important Note: The outstanding stipends for NPower Batch C beneficiaries are from October, November, and December of 2022. The management aims to clear these backlogs soon to provide the beneficiaries their due financial support.
