GOALPrime

Organization Nigeria (GPON) is a National Social Enterprise Non-Government Organization with a vision to realize a better world for children, young people, and caregivers. GOALPrime is committed to achieving its vision via partnering with all stakeholders to realize a world where children, young people, and caregivers are safe, supported protected, and empowered through age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, disability-inclusive, and gender transformative approaches.

GOALPrime Organization Nigeria presently implements in the BAY States (Borno Adamawa and Yobe) of the Northeast of Nigeria, Northwest (Sokoto, Zamfara & Katsina), North Central (FCT, Plateau & Benue), and the South East (Abia) where over 7,000,000 lives (directly and indirectly) with integrated services across different thematic areas of response vis-à-vis child protection in emergencies, education in emergencies, nutrition in emergencies, primary health, WASH in emergencies, GBV in emergencies, life-skills, peacebuilding, Implementation research, common pipeline management and socioeconomic reintegration for children affected by armed conflict. GOALPrime's programmes cut across Emergencies, Nexus, and Development.

Context Analysis

  1. The BAY states crisis has caused severe food insecurity, malnutrition, GBV,
  2. child protection and inadequate WASH services. Over 4.8 million people face
  3. food crises, with 1.53 million children under five at risk of acute
  4. malnutrition. The conflict has displaced 2.2 million people, many unwilling to
  5. return due to insufficient services and security. The WASH sector is critically
  6. underfunded, receiving only 0.4% of the needed $87 million. Floods and cholera
  7. outbreaks threaten 290,371 people, particularly women and children,
  8. necessitating Rapid Diagnostic Test kits for quick cholera detection and management.

Rigorous assessments and a new methodology from the

protection sector identified about four million people in need, of whom 31 per

cent are girls, 26 per cent boys, 18 per cent are women and 11 per cent PLWD.

This figure includes at-risk groups, such as people in hard-to-reach areas To address these challenges, GPON in partnership

with the solidarities international (SI) through this project will provide integrated

WASH and protection services to the target beneficiaries  across project location.
