Job description

The Program Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that align with The Candlelight Foundation’s mission. 

The successful candidate will have a strong background in program management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for making a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services that align with the organization’s mission and goals
  • Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and board members, to ensure program alignment and success
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including community organizations, funders, and stakeholders
    • Develop and implement program evaluation and monitoring systems to track progress and impact
    • Identify and mitigate program risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
    • Supervise and mentor program staff and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery
    • Develop and manage program reports, proposals, and other written materials
    • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field, and apply this knowledge to improve program design and delivery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. non-profit management, public administration, social work)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a non-profit or community-based organization
  • Proven track record of successfully managing programs and services, including budget management, staff supervision, and evaluation
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
    • Experience with program evaluation and monitoring systems
    • Familiarity with non-profit management and community development principles
