Location: Sokoto
Role Purpose

- We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity.
- We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge. For over 80 years we have been building powerful partnerships for children, and we are active in over 75 countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct household surveys, interviews, and/or focus group discussions with target
- respondents during Needs Assessments, Baseline Assessments, Midline Assessments,
- End-line Assessments, Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), Distribution, Market Surveys,
Risk Mapping.
- Accurately record responses using digital tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare) or
- paper-based questionnaires.
- Follow sampling protocols and ensure that the correct respondents are interviewed.
- Ensure confidentiality and data integrity during the data collection process.
- Identify and report any challenges encountered in the field to the supervisor.
- Follow ethical guidelines and obtain informed consent from respondents.
- Work collaboratively with other enumerators and supervisors to ensure efficient data collection.
- Attend training sessions and debriefing meetings as required.
- Travel to assigned data collection sites in a timely manner.
- Maintain and manage data collection tools and equipment.
- Submit completed questionnaires and data to the Field Supervisor/Data Manager
- according to the project schedule.
- Data Entry and Management
- Adhere to all Plan International safeguarding policies.
- Enumerators may be required to support other logistics-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- To be eligible, candidates must possess the following at minimum;
- Minimum of a BA/BSc, HND, OND or a related field.
- Previous experience in data collection, field research, or surveys, preferably with NGOs,
- government agencies, etc.
- Familiarity with data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare or any related software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with respondents respectfully.
- Ability to work in remote or challenging field locations.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken Hausa, English and at least one local language
- in Sokoto states.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of ethical considerations in data collection.
- Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and data validation techniques.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken Hausa, English and at least one local language
- in Sokoto states.
